Attacks on Churches in Mangalore: The Church Divides!

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 18, 2008

The attacks on Churches in Mangalore was a shameful act and there is no denial on that aspect….

Whats really makes me sad is the fact that after all the attacks and protest there, how the church in Mangalore has divided and divided to such an extent that they are ready to talk to our Hindu brothers on peace but not internally.
Roman Catholic Church Accuses New Life of being the Route Cause for the Riots
Why? How many of us have proofs of hindu’s being forcefully converted? How many of us know if foreign funds actually come in to these Churches? What right do we have to keep New life out of the Christian church. We may want to remember that Christ did not come in to establish a religion, but he came in to establish a way of life. While you expect the world to appreciate your religion, why do you want bring someone else down.

At the end of it, the attacks were made by fundamentalists who were scared of the Christians on the whole? May be they cant do what we do? they wonder how the christian church can involve in so much of social activity of helping and bringing up people when they have failed to do so for years now.

In all sense, the attacks were attacks on Christians and not just catholics. So why cant we acknowledge that as a union. with 2.3% that we are in India, if we further divide our selves where do we stand? what picture do we paint to other Indians who donot have a clue on how Christianity works? THey would just laugh at us.

Catholics Not Involved in Conversion: A Fallacy

catholics were never involved in conversion? The very fact that you and i are catholics is just because we were converted by the Portuguese Missionaries who were Catholics. I am not sure if it was by force or by will.. but we were!

Of all things that happened in this week, the saddest element and the one thats gone unnoticed was the way the Bishops house acted in the story.
What stopped the Bishop from issueing a peace statement to all Catholics to be NON VIOLENT?
What stopped the preists from organizing a day of prayer rather than protests. No policeman would harm us unnecessarily.

WHy was the Bishop ignorant, It looks to me that he waited for the situation to get worse and when it really got worse, he came up with his PEACE Statement.
Weird isnt it? If i were in his place( for that matter any sensible person) would ensure that i ask my people to be peaceful and pray rather than harming public property.

The action by BD was extreme, The reaction by catholics was extreme too. How many protestants took to the road? how many evangelicals took to the road. IF we begin to act like everybody else. How will our country grow? How will we grow. Think about it. You will have your answer.

Having said that, no one has that right to publish any derogatory comments on any religion. However, New Life Church has openly denied have any published any derogatory statements on Hindu Gods. Do you want to believe them or do you believe the Fundamentalists(Terrorists)

Forcible Conversions: Truth or Fallacy???

on forcible conversions, do you know if a Hindu/Christian girl has to marry a muslim guy. She needs to be converted and there is no choice there? For me thats forceful conversion. where you dont have a choice…

In Orissa, Christians( Dalits earlier) who have been chrisitans for generations have been forced to reconvert to Hinduism. They are forced to decorate their houses with Hindu Gods. If they fail to do that, The punishment is Death!!!

VHP gave a call to every christian there, to either reconvert or Die! Read through this article for further details. THat is forcible reconversion, We havent tasted that yet and the day we taste it. Believe me, you would desire death!

Have you heard of the NL Church doing this? i havent… if you have let me know… you have all the choice to follow or reject Christ’s way of life… so is it imposed on anybody.? my answer is no….

Persecution for the Gospel: Attack on a Pastor

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 17, 2008

Here is a video of a Pastor who was beaten for spreading the Gospel in a free country called ” India”. I know God is watching and moving in this.

This video is disturbing for sure. My request to you after you have seen this is to pray for our land and the people and specially for those who are working day and night to spread the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

People criticize these poor pastors for giving money and converting. Being poor, would they use that money for themselves rather than use it for conversion??? Time to think brothers and sisters just before you make your conclusions.

Attack on Churches in Mangalore: Home Ministers Double Standards

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 16, 2008

You may recall that the Home Minister of Karnataka, Mr. V S Acharya made a public statement on Bajrang Dal not being involved in the attacks.  I was wondering why he did that. I now have my answer. While going through his blog i realised the double standards applied by the Minister.

He has posted photographs where there were roadblocks, Stones kept piled up, stones thrown back at the police. However, not a mention of the Attacks itself! Nor is there a photograph on any police attacks on innocent people.

Now isnt this double standards. I consider this height of irresponsibility! Home Minister..Please Go Home!!!

Attack on Churches in Mangalore

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 14, 2008

Today, the 14th of September 2008 will be remembered as a blackday in the history of Mangalore. This will remembered as the day when the Saffron Terrorists spread Terror in the peaceful city of Mangalore and the Saffron Government of Karnataka Chose to be quiet in their official residences.

This day has led me to question the very essence of the Constitution of the Country and Its Federal system. For my 25 years of existance, today is the day that i feel ashamed of being an Indian.

My people have been blamed for forcefully converting people. For luring them with money. I have worked to some extent in a mission field and its not what the VHP, BJP and Bajrang Dal show it to be. Its common sense that if someone is forcefully converted..He is never Converted, he always has tendencies to fall back so why would a christian force conversion?

On the point of Christian Funding, is it wrong for anyone to help a hindu/muslim brother to grow up? to get a decent lifestyle. I have noticed hundreds of Hindus walking into Christian churches with problems that they face in their families, finances and other issues. They are supported in every way and are also invite for fellowship, If they decide to come then is that forced on them????

If Spreading the Gospel of peace is considered conversion and prohibited, then isnt that a violation of the Fundamental right to freedom of Speech? A right to religion? Can BJP change the Constitution of the Country???

Watch the IBN News Video

What are the Hindu Organizations doing? WHat is Satya Sai doing in Puttaparthi? what is Sri Ravishankar doing through AOL? arent they spreading Hinduism in the name of “WAY of LIVING”? Why are Hindus converting Christians in the US and other Western countries? if they have the right to express their Faith? then why pelt stones at Christians?

Moreover, Whats the reconversion story? In orissa VHP has called all Dalits to either reconvert or Die? Is this acceptable to our Law? They are crying over a death of an old swamiji who was killed by Naxals, However they have been pushing that blame on Christians and destroying the Churches there

I Strongly feel that Bajrang Dal should be named as a terrorist outfit and should be Banned for peaceful coexistance of the people. Noone, I repeat noone has the right to take law in their own hands…

They need to realise that Jehovah is the LORD God of Hosts. He is the one who destroyed the land of Egypt amd destroyed the first borns among the egyptians. Our God is Gentle, caring, patient however, he is also Just, pure and mighty. HIs justice stands above every other justice on earth. He deals with everyone by his word. So before his wrath is poured on this country and on the city…i pray that these fundamentalists realise that it isnt going to help them by destroying christians or their prayer centres. For Christianity, unlike Hinduism thrived in Tribulation. When Rome persecuted Christians their strength increased and their number too. And its History today…however it doesnt take long for History to repeat again… For i have heard That Mangalore is the Rome of the East!

Oh Lord! May your Justice Prevail.

Bann Bajrang Dal: They are Terrorists

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 20, 2008

Over the weekend, i was pondering on the activities Bajrang Dal(BD) has been involved into and everytime i thought and read about them my conviction on them being a terror outfit just continued to strengthen.

You would ask me why? Numerous reasons.

Have you heard of two bajrang dal members being killed whilst making a bomb? If you havent google for “Bjarang dal bomb killed” you will find a lot of results to validate this news.

Bajrang dal has been playing the pseudo Hinduism card claiming to be the protectors of Hinduism, while they are destroying it. If Jehadi’s are Islamic Fanatics then what are Bajrangi’s

A terrorist spreads terror in the society knowing that his crime will spread disturbance within ( acts of mass destruction). There are numerous examples of what Bajrang Dal has done together with the VHP. Destroying the Babari Masjid was definitely one of the big ones.

Bajrang Dal still continues to spread fear in the society with its call to “reconvert or die” and “saffronization of the media”.

But why is it that only SIMI has been banned? why are these bajrangis let loose. If the Government does not act soon. God Forbid we may have a bigger terrorist outfit than LeT oe AL-Quida within our country, terrorising every nuke and corner of it.

I wouldnt say we will be in peace if these organizations are banned, but atleast they will be under control. The next time, if these people spread terror, the government should take the same steps that are taken against other terrorists( Encounters, POTA for the living)

Jai Hind! Bann Bajrang Dal

Mangalore Churches Attacked: A Call for Peace!

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 15, 2008

Its now known that the police have been targetting innocent people. But we cannot stop our peaceful protest. In this country of Mahatma Gandhi, we have the right to protest peacefully. Lets take the path of Non Violence and march ahead boldly. Not with Arms but with the Word of God.

Carry the National flag of the Country. No Police will dare to attack you when you carry the flag of the country with you. Walk with Candles and torches March ahead on every street of the city. Let every Concerned Hindu and Muslim join us in this protest. Lets fight this battle not as Catholics or Protestants but as Christians and overall as Indians… This is our Country, Our Land and no one has the right to question our freedom and our right!

March ahead folks. In the Name of Jesus our Lord!

Attack on Churches: Mangalore under Seige

Posted by: voiceofneil on: September 15, 2008

 Earlier Post

The Situation in Mangalore continues to be Tense, with Churches being damaged and innocent people being injured by the attackof the Civil Forces.  Fear is spread across the whole city, with the Bells of all the Churches tolling and the people crying out for Vengence and mercy at the Same time.
A few Questions that arise.

Why was this crime perpetuated in the first place?
Why is the Government acting as a mute spectator?
Why are churches still Damaged?
Why are women and Children hit by the police?
What right does the police have to enter a private Church compound and Cane the people involved in Prayer?

The Government however, continues to support the Bajrang Dal. In statement earlier, Mr. V S Acharya the Home Minister of the Government of Karnataka “Condemned the Attacks” and mentioned that Bajrang Dal was not involved in. I smell a foul game here, When Bajrang Dal themselves claimed responsibility How did the Home Minister know it wasnt them? It was our mistake of getting the BJP government into Power and now if they cant protect the people of the land they must GO! and there are no two things about it.

Read the facts from an eye witness, Courtesy: Mangalorean.com

I urge upon all my fellow indian brothers to continue to put in your feedback and comments and make and prayers too. At the end of it all….Even if the Courts and the Governments dont listen to us, the Lord will and his love will never fail…. Lets get together in prayer for our people and for those people who are hurting us. Lets pray that God bless their families and them.

However, for all that has happened I say this again and i say this boldly, This day i am ashamed of being an Indian. But on the other side i will continue to pray for the peace of this Land.

Indian Hell!

Posted by: voiceofneil on: August 1, 2008

Indian Hell

A man dies and goes to hell. There he finds that there is a different hell for each country. He goes to the German hell and asks, “What do they do here?” He told, “First they put you in an electric chair for An hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then The German devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day.”

The man does not like the sound of that at all,so he moves on. He checks out the USA hell as well as the Russian hell and many more. He discovers that they are all more or less the same as the German hell.

Then he comes to the Indian hell and finds that there is a long line of people waiting to get in. Amazed, he asks, “What do they do here?” He told, “First they put you in an electric chair for an hour. Then they lay you on a bed of nails for another hour. Then the Indian devil comes in and whips you for the rest of the day.” “But that is exactly the same as all the other hells – why are there so many people waiting to get in?”

“Because maintenance is so bad that the electric chair does not work, someone has stolen all the nails from the bed, and the devil is a former Govt servant, so he comes in, signs the register and then goes to the canteen!!!
